The Caviro Plant In Forlì Heading Towards A €9-Mil. Expansion

President Carlo Dalmonte stated: “Our thanks go to the Ministry of Economic Development, Invitalia and the Emilia-Romagna Region”

Caviro Group has destined a €9-million investment for the expansion of the production plant in Forlì, also thanks to the support of Invitalia – National Agency for Development.

The intervention means to implement the production capacity of the plant – operating in the wine processing and bottling – and implies an important return in terms of employment, with 12 new expected hirings.

A Support for Agriculture and Employment

“We are very satisfied with a project of such great importance, especially in the light of the difficult moment that the global economic and social system is going through – pointed out Carlo Dalmonte, President of Caviro Group. The development plan introduced in Forlì is fundamental, not only to increase the employment in the area, but also to support the Italian agriculture in such a complex phase and in particular the Emilia-Romagna agriculture, also confronting the severe damage caused by frost.

This support represents an ‘institutional’ recognition for the Caviro Group, for the value of our supply chain, the most important in Italy – continues Dalmonte. Our thanks go to the Ministry of Economic Development and to Invitalia for the effective collaboration, and to the Emilia-Romagna Region that supported our project right from the start”.

“We believe in the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors in such a strategic and reference sector for the Made-in-Italy production” added Domenico ArcuriCEO of Invitalia. “Supporting this project, and thus contributing to increase the volumes of exported wine, means allowing Italy to compete, together with France, for the world leadership“.

Plant Expansion

“The investment mainly concerns the Leonardo da Vinci brand within the Group’s portfolio, and it is aimed at the implementation of new equipment and high-tech efficiency and low energy systems – continues SimonPietro Felice, General Manager of Caviro Group”.

The intent is to increase the production volumes and achieve product innovation thanks to the introduction of a new 0.187lt bottle format, currently produced in glass, and for the future to be realised in compostable PLA, so as to be ahead of the times in a sector that is undergoing a great evolution, both on the packaging side and in the demand for quality and service.
